About Us | Vegan Protein Rankings

The Captain Vegan Team

Meet the Captain Vegan Team — a crime-fighting, smoothie-blending vegan polycule dedicated to justice, plant-based gains, and sizing up every scoop of protein powder we can get our super-hands on. By day, we strike heroic poses in matching green spandex to defend legumes. By night, we gather around our jar-lined lab like a protein-powered coven, rating powders with the same seriousness NASA uses to launch rockets. Are we lovers? Are we lab partners? Yes. We believe in truth, love, and 30 grams of protein per serving.

Who’s Behind the Mask

Captain Vegan is the pen name of the site’s founder. The cape is optional. The rest is real:

Vegan for years. Long enough to have heard “but where do you get your protein?” roughly four thousand times.
A writer and editor by trade. Which is why every guide reads a nutrition label like a contract and links its sources.
Trains regularly. The shakes have a job to do.
Has personally tried a good number of the powders on this site. Some were delicious. Some were a lesson.

The mask stays on so the reviews stay about the powders, not the person. The caped crew in the pictures is artistic license; the opinions are real.

Facts: nutrition numbers come from the brands’ own labels. Safety claims come from independent labs and published studies, linked at the bottom of each guide.
Money: when you buy through our Amazon links, we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Prices come straight from Amazon and refresh several times a day.
Mistakes: spot one? Tell us and we’ll fix it.
